More About Adam

(From left to right: Melanie, Joel, Mya, Tyler and Adam)

St John’s new vicar grew up on the Isle of Wight and has been married to wife Melanie for 15 years. They have three children and have lived as a family in Southsea for the past four years. Before coming to Southsea, Adam started his training for ministry at Oak Hill Theological College in London.

Before London, Adam and Mel enjoyed family life on the Isle of Wight. Adam worked as a podiatrist specializing in biomechanics and gait analysis in private practice. Mel worked for the Hampton Trust supporting young people in crisis situations.

Adam was ordained in Portsmouth Cathedral in 2016 and has been in the Portsmouth Diocese ever since. Adam has been a curate in a large city centre church in Southsea, he pioneered a number of community outreach projects, and was responsible for coordinating the churches mission and outreach strategy, and supported the children’s and families ministry.

Adam is looking forward to getting to know the Church family, ministering alongside you and with God’s help continuing to grow His kingdom in Folkestone.

The licensing service will take place on 27th January at 7pm more details will be found nearer the date on St John’s Church website
